Where art meets
therapy.
Some things can’t be talked into clarity. They need to be moved, drawn, written, pulled from the body and placed somewhere outside of it…where you can finally see them. Studio work is therapy that comes alive in the process of creative making.
We take the experience outside of ourselves so we can see it and work it that way. The image, the movement, the symbol that arises becomes something you can be in relationship with. Something that, through guided experientials, might eventually speak back.
What studio work is
Therapeutic.
And also therapy.
Studio work sits at the intersection of depth psychology and creative practice. It’s not art therapy in the traditional sense, though it draws from it. It’s not talk therapy, though meaning does get made. It’s a space where the psyche is invited to speak in its native language: image, movement, metaphor, story, symbol.
Sessions are fluid. They follow what’s alive rather than a predetermined structure. You might begin with movement and end with writing. You might pull a card and spend an hour inside the image it opens. The work shapes itself around what you bring.
What it draws from
Many languages.
One inquiry.
No single modality drives this work. What guides it is the question underneath — what is this experience trying to show you? — and the willingness to follow that question into form.
- Authentic movement & somatic exploration
- The satisfaction cycle & embodied completion
- Art-based & expressive therapies
- Story-finding & metaphor work
- Active imagination & Jungian imagework
- Tarot as symbolic inquiry & journaling
You don’t have to be
an artist.
You just have to be someone who suspects that what needs to move in you won’t be reached by talking alone.
01
The creative & the metaphorical thinker
Artists, writers, makers — people who already live in image and metaphor and want a therapeutic space that can meet them there, rather than asking them to translate.
02
Those for whom talk hasn’t been enough
You understand yourself. You can articulate your patterns. And yet something hasn’t shifted. Studio work reaches into the places that insight alone hasn’t been able to touch.
03
The curious & the embodied explorer
You’re drawn to working with the body, with symbol, with the imaginal. You don’t need a crisis to bring you here. Just a genuine curiosity about what lives beneath the surface.
How studio work is offered
Individual sessions
One-on-one,
at your own depth.
Individual studio sessions are tailored entirely to you — your imagery, your body, your story. They can stand alone as a focused creative and therapeutic experience, or be woven into ongoing individual therapy as a way of going deeper into what talk has surfaced.
Sessions shift in form. What remains consistent is the quality of attention to what arises, to what wants to be made, and to what the making reveals.
Group offerings
Held in community.
Witnessed in the making.
There is something particular that happens when creative and somatic work is witnessed by others. The image made in private means one thing. The image made in community — and received there — means something else.
Group studio offerings are held periodically throughout the year. Each has its own theme, its own container, and its own arc. Stay connected to hear when the next one opens.

work might open?
The best way to know if studio work is right for you is a conversation. Reach out directly or schedule a free consultation. We’ll explore what you’re carrying and whether this is the right space to bring it into.
“The image, the movement, the story — these are not illustrations of what’s happening inside. They are what’s happening inside, finally given a place to exist outside of you.”
